VISTOS
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A WORK VISA?
It depends on the time of year and the caseload that the Canadian government has at the moment. The government updates deadlines weekly on its website.
WHAT TYPE OF VISA SHOULD I APPLY FOR TO STUDY FOR 3 MONTHS?
Tourist visa with study permission. This visa allows the person to study for up to 24 weeks, and depends on the submission of the acceptance letter from the educational institution.
MY PROFESSION IS NOT ON THE LIST OF PROFESSIONS IN DEMAND IN CANADA, CAN I REGISTER MY PROFILE IN EXPRESS ENTRY?
Yes. There is no longer a list of in-demand occupations to register the expression of interest in Express Entry, you only need to qualify for one of the federal programs managed by the system: Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Trades.
AFTER MY VISA EXPIRES, HOW SOON DO I HAVE TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY?
Foreign nationals must leave Canada while their tourist, work or study permit is valid. However, after the expiration date of the visa, it is often still possible to apply for restoration within 90 days. Once the restoration period has passed, the foreign national is in an irregular situation and must leave Canada immediately.

Diploma equivalency by an accredited Canadian entity will match studies undertaken outside Canada with the Canadian school curriculum and has nothing to do with regulated professions. This procedure is required to meet the criteria of some immigration programs to evaluate the level of education.

If you are unable to provide the necessary funds yourself, you may be able to designate one person who will be fully or partially responsible for your financial expenses.
